When I knew the products of Mr. Paulo Ramos I understood the
meaning of his proposal, which is undoubtedly the search of
the sound we really listen in live performances. I am familiar
with singing, instruments etc, besides going to the concerts
of the Symphonic Orchestra here in Brasília whenever possible.
In my opinion, such familiarity is vital to any audiophile. It is
possible to notice that Mr. Ramos's ears are tuned in to
elaborate products that sound as natural as possible. For the
time being I have allline of cables and I also purchased the
AKRON 40 SE. I say for the time being, because my intention
is to buy other products of his line as soon as I can.
Congratulations fellow!

I can't miss the chance of commenting on the AKRON products that are designed and built by Paulo Ramos, because they were responsible
for a great increase of my pleasure in listening to music. Everything I might say here won't be enough to express my satisfaction. The
seriousness and perfectionism of Mr. Ramos are reflected in his products: the AKRON panels, the Aetherius valved amplifiers and the
Hyperflat cables are simply wonderful products for those who like to listen to good music reproduced electronically. There is nothing similar
to it in our country.
When it comes to audio I am extremely demanding. A long time ago I stopped believing in the absolute truths of Hi End audio, that usually
bring with them a lot of prejudice. The greatest of all is the one that states: "only imported equipment is good stuff". No, they aren't! And I
can asseverate what I'm saying! For those who don't believe me, I always recommend that they give their ears a chance and know Mr.
Paulo Ramos's room. It's the most well balanced system I have ever heard. It is totally designed and built by him in our country!
There is nothing better! The AKRON panels with tweeters and ribbon mid are of such accuracy and delicacy that make the pleasure of
listening to music emerge in us for many hours. The Hyperflat cables are something apart. I can say that because I use them in my
system and since I've started using them, I simply quit using all the others I have, and could never do any other alteration. They are
neutral, fast, and can get the best of the system I have.
Nowadays, all my interconnection and power cables are Hyperflat and I can assure that it is not necessary to spend thousands of dollars
to get high quality cables.
All I can do is to thank Mr. Paulo Ramos for his competence and dedication, because, thanks to him, my hobby has become more
pleasant than ever and my pride for being Brazilian has grown!

Interconnection:
The sound seems to float in my extremely relaxed system. It brings a great smoothness in its sonic signature, and it's highly transparent.
It's a bargain if compared to other more expensive cables.
Loudspeaker:
With the new connectors, produced with a notch in the cable, it is possible to obtain that "plus feature" in a sound stage, and transparency
in my system. Besides, it's unbeatable in other requirements.
Power:
(My power cable has those hubble connectors)
It's the first power cable that really makes a difference in my system, adjusting immediately the speed of the sharp sounds and gaining
that "plus feature" that all audiophiles search for in transparency without losing musicality.

Well, after fifteen minutes, when my brain recognized that new part, I started to listen to DVDs that I thought were not well recorded. I used
to listen to Ivan Lins singing and playing the "Rubacalba" piano, and found the sound very poor. Suddenly, I started listening to that same
CD and it sounded wonderful! The sharp sounds became quieter and the "Rubacalba" piano became really beautiful. As to the high sounds,
they became more open and clearer. An extremely flat cable, of super fidelity, that shows everything (either good or bad of your system)
that the set and the source present, without any disguises. I found it so real that I made some adjustments to my room… Excellent! This is
my free and independent statement, without any compromise with anybody.

Those who know me and usually read what I write know that when it comes to audio for reproducing musical sound I don't use to flatter,
I wouldrather criticize on rare occasions. That's why when I praise a certain brand of electronic equipment, I have at least enjoyed the
equipment so much that I got one for my personal use. It has been like that since the old times of the electrostatic QUAD. I had more
than half a dozen pairs of those!
In the recent years I got delighted with the native products manufactured by AKRON AUDIOTEC from Santo André. I bought four pairs
of AKRON S40 "ribbon" for my personal use and recommended it to close friends - those you cannot fail with. Recently I tried and
bought the valved AETHERIUS, pre and amplifiers. I also bought the superb interconnection and power cables.
Summary: my current system is formed by six electro-electronic links and half of them are AKRON, from AUDIOTEC. If you are
supposed to be judged by those you get together with, then, judge me, since I have been together with AUDIOTEC products!

In order to understand Akron Audiotec equipment better:
First of all, it is Mr. Paulo Ramos's passion to build close to perfection equipment. He assembles and tests them in his workshop, building
prototypes, and never shows them to anyone before they have reached his strict quality standard. They are hybrid loudspeakers, panels
with speakers of leaf and ribbon tapes, valved amplifiers, pre-amplifiers, and my favorite ones: the cables.
A visit to Paulo's room allows us to understand what "state of art" means. Believe me, very few configurations can be compared to the
performance of the equipment in his room. And how does he get this? I suppose it's because he builds equipment with love and not just
for the profit. He was the only person related to the audio trading I've known that doesn't care if a piece of equipment is sold or not.
He's pleased to know that his work is admired.

Lapse (happy)
Evening begins: in my armchair I close my eyes.
No video, no scenery… I just listen to my favorite piece of music.
The sensation of realism is touching! The hissing is perfect, fast and velvet like...
After installing the ribbon tweeters manufactured by Paulo Ramos I could perceive details and nuances I had never noticed before…
I feel obliged to review my whole collection: a remarkable experience!
It's a rare, unique and pleasant sensation!
The investment was worth it.
Congratulations, Paulo Ramos for the piece that I'd rather call a masterpiece!

In spite of respectfully treating it just as a hobby, music and high fidelity are a great passion and a well-being source.
I am a business administrator, and I work in the logistics segment. I am part of a group of melomaniacs and lovers of high fidelity, who has
been meetingfor 40 years, in order to listen to music and keep this fantastic circle of friends, having music as the common interest of our
bond and companionship.
I was very happy to meet Paulo Ramos from AKRON in this spectacular group. I am a hopeless fan of valves, and I have a tailor-made
craftsmanship set (Ars Technica ATPA 05), 45W per channel - triode hybrid / pentode; Pre Ars Technical Valved ATP02; CD player Marantz
MK63 SE; MD Deck Sony MDS-JE330; record player MKII Technics. Analogical... another sensation!!! Although I'm not so old - I was born in
1966 - I am in the wonderful "old fashioned" world sound, that when reproduced with the proper quality and fidelity enchants us in such a way
that words cannot describe!
In the last years AKRON's contribution to the Brazilian audio market has been very important. Perfect matching of the valves with that
involving mid bass, the loudspeakers SW8 of my set are a hybrid system developed by AKRON still at the time it was under the former
commercial name Audiotec. It is formed by two flat sounds - tweeter ribbon 8 ohms and passive subwoofer of 14'' 88DB sensitiveness that
match in a magnificent way with the sweetness of the valves. I have had these speakers for almost 3 years now. They have already caused
a great impression at the Hi-Fi Show in São Paulo, and every time I listen to it I still get surprised by the details, the ambience and the
excellent reproduction. Considering the innovative - but at the same time discreet - design, warm debates between husband and wife
regarding room decoration will be avoided.
I am currently testing the Hyperflat interconnection cables. The result has been very good as to presentation of textures, speed of responses
and transients, especially in the reproduction of percussion and piano. The finishing is impeccable and, very important - mainly in the valved
ones - there is that silent background without interferences and small external noises. In this sense I want to congratulate AKRON and Paulo
for the initiative, research and excellent products. We, Brazilian melomaniacs and audiophiles continue to be well assisted by products of
excellent quality and attractive cost/benefit.

Only those who listened to the AKRON speakers can understand what I mean. The transitory and the ambience in the region of the mid
cannot be reached by any speakers I have known. The mid must be good so that the speakers are good, since a great part of music
information is in this region.

I am the happy owner of a pair of Akron Classic speakers and I am absolutely sure that my speakers are the last item of my system to be
upgraded. When I think of upgrade my Akron in the future, I immediately think of another AKRON project.

I have worked in the military naval industry, and currently I am in telecommunications. In both I also specialized in the area of
development of cables to be used in electrical conditions of bigger and more adverse electrical conditions than those of residential
audio. That is why I can state that the Hyperlat interconnection cables are everything a cable should be: TRANSPARENT!
There is no perceivable sonic signature, so don't try to remediate problems in unbalanced systems or systems that are not
compatible with such cables. The Hyperflat do what every interconnection cable should do: they transform the interconnected
equipment in only one, as if it was a track of a printed circuit!!! So, compatible equipment will continue like that and vice-versa,
no matter if they are cheap modules or the very expensive top of line high-end.
For a long time I expected to meet a manufacturer who would dare to challenge the "status quo" of the current "paradigm" of
manufacturing of high-end cables, which is the never ending search for new materials for conductors and dielectric, as well as
new complicated processes of manufacturing, like extrusion, cooking in high currents, multi-wire conductors with hundreds of meters
of twists, cables with air dielectric (that means true fire hoses) and other amazing things. This leads to high costs of development and
manufacturing, and most of the time there is no proper machinery for this work, which results in a lower standard than they claim in
their theories, many times without any electromagnetic basis. Anyway, the price will be extremely high, not to mention the several
problems to install them in the equipment…
It is absurd that most manufacturers of high-end cables seem not to understand much about basic electromagnetism, ignoring the
simplest rules, like shield! They concentrate on developing physical-chemical processes, instead of just applying the electromagnetic
theory! They have even created cables that in my opinion behave like diodes (since it is said that they conduct better to one side than
to the other, but they forgot that these cables transport AC signs that come and go!!!).
Paulo Ramos did the right thing, that is, the right cable. He used a topology that is largely approved by the telecommunications
industry, which works in MHz and not in the simple KHz of audio "high fidelity". He used conductors, dielectrics and connectors of high
quality, but without exaggerating. What did he get? The obvious: an excellent cable at very good price, reasonable flexibility and sonority
that even those famous cables that cost US$ 5,000.00 or more can hardly overcome.
It can't be better! The finishing is excellent, and they are beautiful and discreet. You can notice the extreme care in building in the smallest
details, like the use of connectors so well turned that they seem to be "swallowed" when they are connected; there are also marks to show
which side of the cable must be connected to the source of signal (player, transportation etc) and which side should be connected to the
destiny (pre, DAC, amplifier, receiver etc). This doesn't mean that there is a better "direction" to the electrical current, because it is a cable
of double shield, whose external shield must only be connected to the source to avoid earth loops. In how many high-end cables can you
see such concern of the manufacturer? I am changing all cables of my system for the Hyperflat. Congratulations Paulo Ramos! It had to
be a Brazilian and a craftsman to show how to do it!!!

As you know, besides being an engineer I have good musical education. I have been to erudite music performances since I was 6, and I still
attend them nowadays. I do it, most of all, for the pleasure that music gives me and because of the sound of music inside a concerto room.
I believe this is the best way of adjusting our ears to evaluate the result of our work - in my case, audio amplifiers.
When I substituted my conventional cables for your new Speakerflat of low capacitance, I must admit that I was afraid of what could happen,
especially because I was interconnecting your loudspeakers with a solid state amplifier, which always causes suspicion in the old-fashioned
lovers of audio amplifiers with electronic valves, and also in technicians. I turned on the amplifier, ready to turn it off quickly in case of an
accident… total silence. "Well, that's a good start", I thought. I let the set turned on for around 30 minutes, and then listened to a CD - the
recording of a solo in a Steinway. I almost fell off the chair with what I heard. I simply couldn't believe: that grand concerto piano was playing
in my very room, with such presence, such sweetness, details, tone, everything perfect! I closed my eyes to absorb that music as never
before. I could feel the pianist as if we could touch him... Then I listened to Stravinsky's Petruska that I had just listened at Sala São Paulo.
Wonderful, wonderful! Once again I found out details. Musical filigrees that I hadn't noticed before appeared clearly, clean, nice to be heard.
Congratulations, Paulo. These cables are spectacular, and the match with the solid state is perfect, offering musicality that few times I had
the chance of listening, even when using expensive equipment.
I must also say that before changing the cables of the speakers I had already changed the interconnect for your Hyperflat cable. The impact
had already been positive: the sound grew, it had dynamics, balance, and this was noticed immediately in a quick hearing, while listening to
ordinary recordings, which means that it wasn't an evaluation hearing. This was done soon afterwards, with all cables installed and listening to
the pieces of music used as a reference.
At the moment I have my sound system configured with 572SE valved, Jamo D870 loudspeaker s and your cables. Everything I commented
above is repeated and you see that I changed the 200w/channel for 18W/channel. I finish my working day listening to music with great pleasure,
and it is difficult to stop doing it. I owe this to the high level of the cables, either the valved or the solid state ones. Congratulations once again,
Paulo. For your accomplishments, a big and deserved hug from your friend.
