Akron is a name associated to quality audio products handcrafted in Brazil.The choice of this name has its origin in 
the Greek word AKRON, which means "at the highest level". We started our activity - that is our passion - back in 1982. 

The success of the planar panels as acoustic transductors of extremely high fidelity, the rewarding results obtained, 
and the acceptance in the market, encouraged us to proceed in this endless mission of reaching the most perfect
imitation of reality of the musical event. We know how hard it is to reach this quality standard, but we do never 
give up our purpose.

After that we launched a diversity of products, like amplifiers with valves and preamplifiers, hybrid acoustic boxes, 
pure ribbon, cone and dome loudspeakers and several kinds of accessories, constantly searching for improvement in 
music reproduction. We have been developing products and manufacturing them, always with the same purpose, and 
we are satisfied with the outcome of this compromise. In this website we wish to demonstrate with pictures and words
the result of this constant effort of 25 years of work and research.
